If your balance shaft drive sprocket has not been replaced it should be. The first ones were not hardened and wore quite a bit. You can tell the hardened one by the dark color on and at the base of the teeth and there is not a series of holes below the teeth. Do not have the new plastic balance chain guide installed, these have been reported to distort if the engine is overheated. Also look for split roller chains that are prone to fail. A fine line can be seen going from one end of the rollers to the other.
