Getting a ticket always sucks. Since you said you were only going 76 (and speedometers tend to read high) it sounds like he made up the 80 to get you on a 15 over. That sucks too. I've had two tickets in my life and ended up getting attorneys for both of them. They were expensive but I wanted to avoid points and a steep increase in insurance. I did a lot of research for my second ticket which can hopefully help you. Your first court date is probably a "pretrial" and where you can talk to the DA who will probably offer you a deal instead of draggin things through court. It is probably wise to take it. You have some good circumstances such as limited radar visibility by the cop and being singled out from a pack (the word "profiling" comes to mind. Anyway, dress up, do some homework on the matter and good luck. Definetly let us know how it turns out!
