I would definitely recommend that everyone who drives an ABS-equipped vehicle "experience" the feel of the ABS engaging before they have a need to do so. Take the car on a dirt road (sandy is best) and apply the brakes hard, make sure there are no vehicles and/or obstacles around and notice the feel of the pedal. Once the ABS engages, it feels like the whole system is coming apart, that is due to the rapid pulsation of the braking system. I've been trying to tell that to everyone I know that drives a vehicle with ABS...
