I did the struts and shocks myself at Andrews AFB Auto Hobby Shop. They have an excellent spring compressor. In fact, it is the same wall mounted unit my Saab Indy has on the wall at his shop. I paid $29.50 for 6 hours of lift time and one pair of gloves. The struts, in my opinion, were easier to do than the shocks. If I had gone to my Saab Indy, he would have charged 1 1/2 hours per side for the struts ($180) and an hour for each side on the shocks ($120). So that would have been at least $300 in labor. Other places would have been between $300 and $500 depending on the labor rate.
