A lot of people have the opinion that additives are snakeoil, and they are entitled to their opinions. I don't share their perspective. I have been using Militec-1 in my engines, transmissions, power steering and A/C compressor since Jan 94, with positive and satifying results. That includes 3 Saabs and my ex-wife's 1990 Chevy Blazer 4wd. My current 87 9000S was bought 12/31/97 with 145,890 miles. It sits in driveway with 203,649. I change the oil and filter every 3500 miles. As for the coolant, I use Prestone mixed with distilled water. I flush every 18 to 24 months. So far I have had no problems with my coolant system or heater core. I replaced the water pump last year. Some will boo hoo me, but that is okay too. I am not posting every few days with some kind of problem either. I visit often just see who is asking what, and I see the same questions popping up over and over.
