Well I have now spent more than 20 hours searching the internet for mods for a non-turbo Saab. No problem if you've got a turbo but woe is me if you want to play with a non-turbo. Put in a K&N yesterday during a snowstorm and noticed an immediate difference. probably need to punch some small holes in the air ducting to help it breath even easier. Still trying to find some one to fab a set of headers for me. My local speedo is going to fab me a new exhaust system drop pipe all the way back with 2 1/2" pipe, a free flow cat, and a low resistance muffler. The system will be ceramic coated with an aero coating for about $500. He has talked to several people about modifying my chip but no one has done a non-turbo. What a pain in the rear this is turning in to. I have emailed about everyone I can think of but not any luck. Engine mods look like my next option or an engine switch to a turbo. Has any one switched out a NA for a turbo with the same tranny? What problems would I encounter in trying this with a 92 9000? Would motor mounts, and everything else match up? With all the non-turbo Saabs on the street some one should look into making a header and chip mod for this car.
