thanks for the helpful info!!! I suspected that it might be dealer inflation~~~ but it is always good to know what you are up against when shopping! my husband is wondering if a new one might be the better investment. what are your opinions on that?? I am not sure i really want to spend quite that much but if in the long run~~~~~~~ what are some of the problems with a 96,97 etc... coming up that i should be aware of?? so far my only problem with the 89 is a new compressor and now though it looks to be a trans. my husband is leary of putting 2500 into a car that is worth only about that much and there may be other issues looming in the horizon!
