Control arm bushings- &ball joints, what else for smooth ride?

I'm gonna do the ball joints and the rear of the front control arm bushings. My understanding is that the front control arm bushings don't really need to be replaced. Is this correct? I have been told that replacing the rear bushings and ball joints is relatively easy. Any similar things to do on the rear suspension? Also, is it easy and a good idea to replace the swaybar bushings?
Thanks alot, this site is soo great.
Josh
I have a 1989 9000CD
You guys have really saved me probably about 500$ or so along the way of my 9000.
Also, I just tried Lexol, the leather conditioner, and I'd recommend it highly. I bit pricy but its worth it Id say. My leather looks new now. One tip, if the leather is hard, spray a liberal amount on and lightly spread it over the whole area with a rag or something. Let this sit for a while (an hour or so) and wipe off the excess. Do this a few times (once a week) and the leather will be sweet.
One other tip for you guys that I've found. I just checked both my A/C belt tensioner pulley and the aux belt tensioner pulley and both had bad bearings in em... Replacing those really cut down on the noise my engine makes and made it seem to drive smoother.
Anyone have any suggestions for improving smooth ride other than the bushings and ball joints?
