Josh...if your referring to the two spaces below your cassette deck..of equal size..they are usually for 1) the ash tray/lighter combo , and 2) the equalizer. I know of no "CD changer" that would fit in such a small space but what you can do is get an "add on" changer like I have..10 disc which is stowed or mounted in the trunk area. It plays via an FM modulator through your existing radio. While the sound quality isnt as perfect as a straight CD deck,.I doubt most will be able to tell the difference especially in a poor acoustical enviorment as an automobile. Mine works just fine. I needed to rig an added suspension system to assist the units built in suspension system to stop it from skipping from rough roads,.but that done it hasnt skipped once since. I can advise you how if you want. Your other choice is to just add another radio/CD deck..but that probably would be more expensive and youde lose the luxury of having 10 discs to chose from. Your front speakers are no doubt shot by now..they are special units with separate tweeters and a 4 inch midrange. There are plenty of 4" choices out there and an easy replacement. Try a 4" inch with tweeter combo as one unit from http://www.crutchfield.com.
