My wheels look awful too. I'm getting sick of looking at my wheels with the "cracked" appearance in the clear coated polished lip area. The shop that mounted the tires before I owned the car put those fat, retarded wheel weights on the outside (I know they can put them on the inside) and also valve stems that stick out further than the sidewall. Morons.
One of these days I'll have find a decent body shop that'll fix them up real nice.
Oh, but "We don't work on them foreign cars!" ...I can hear it now...
Hmmm, rednecks in trucks working on my priceless Aero wheels with a die grinder...maybe sending them out of town is a better idea.
