Did you get the rear connectors to the head unit as well? The HK stereo uses connectors not unlike a Blaupunkt in bad, and IIRC they're integrated into the car's wiring harness. You need these connectors or things will become difficult....
I wouldn't know this but I dismantled a '96 Aero about a year ago, salvaging the stereo system and the ENTIRE wiring harness (for a Trionic->c900 project) in the process. I noted that the stereo & amp wiring was pretty well integrated with the main harness.... You can separate them, but it's some work.
Anyway....
