Disconnect one of the cables at the motor (this is much easier to do than at the other end). Move the seat back and forth with the switch. When one side is not connected, that side of the seat will not move. You'll notice as you move the other side of the seat, it will torque. If you are making the seat fold forward, it will obviously be torquing forward. Now, put the seat back and watch it closely. There will be a second or so when the entire seat back becomes un-torqued and will move backwards. Once the slack is taken up in the disconnected side, the seat will begin to torque again. Try to get it as close to the middle, un-torqued position as you can, then reconnect the cable.
