9000 trunk discolorization, need advice

Below is a link to pictures of the discoloration on the trunk lid reflector area of my 91'kCDT. My local Saab shop says that there is nothing that can be done to correct what appears to be nothing more than water
condensation on the inside of the plastics, short of getting an entirely new trunk lid ( which i think is pathetic, IMHO). I have seen at least 3 other '91 9k's exibiting this exact issue. My question: is there a way to
remove the condensation/stain? How so? Close inspection of the fabrication of this plastic piece reveals no screw/bolt-type attachments. It looks like it's literally glued onto the back of the trunk metal. If I could
figure out a way to simply get it off to clean it then reattach, I'd be in bidness. Email me your thoughts is you have a solution of have dealt with this issue before, synik@mac.com. Thanks! -Scott
