Spring colours - might interest BillJ

Just back from a week at the coal face and saw the BillJ/Aero Guy discussion on spring colours,
My car is a 1993 CSE automatic originally supplied, like Bill's, through Saab Contract Hire. They originally registered it as an Aero - which I know perfectly well it isn't. But the guy I bought it from said it had a "sports suspension", and something must have caused the odd registration, so a year or so back I crawled underneath to check the colours.
Well, the rear spring colours are yellow-green-white-green-yellow, which Aero Guy has down as Aero rears for 1993. The green is a pale green, by the way. I read the wire diameter at 14.05mm on a micrometer gauge but I'm sure bending the springs in manufacture distorts this.
Front colours are white-white-yellow-white white, wire diameter 13.7mm (same reservations apply). Dampers are marked Sachs SFE 36/25x169A etc., Saab, with a bronze band.
Bottom line, Bill, is that I may be driving a car with the springs you are considering putting on your '96 Aero, albeit one with 100K+ on the clock, so if you can't locate a real '93 Aero and want to try a drive contact me and this time I'll brave the M1/M25...
