I have the exact same problem. Ari responded to my post of a few days ago and corrected some misinformation I received. I opened the aquarium today, but I do not know where to find the controller/resistor pack on the NON-ACC cars. I looked at the pictures on Quasi's site for the ACC controller, but my '91 S just has a cover plate there. There is an electrical part with a black cover mounted on the evaporator housing just above the receiver/dryer sight glass and the expansion valve. I removed the cover, and the part is marked Ranco. There is no Saab part number on it, but the part has the following numbers on it Type K-50-L5759, and below that 91-15-L. There are two wires coming out of it - green/white and yellow. There is also a metal wire going from the part into the evaporator housing. Is this my controller? If not, where is it? Where can I find the resistor pack or a new controller? Is the metal wire attached to something in the evaporator housing?
