I'm having some drivability problems lately. My wife was driving the car and she said it overheated and started shaking. She parked it immeadiatly at my parents house since she was only a couple of blocks away. I went and looked at it the following day to check if it blew a head gasket. I removed the plugs and they were dry to the bone. Checked the oil and it was still pretty clean from the recent oil change. It was not milky like antifreeze had mixed with it. I checked for any obious vacuum line leaks and could not find any. I started the car and it idles very low (500-600RPM) and shakes like if it was out of balance. You rev it up a bit and it settles right down and stops shaking until it drops down to idle again. I could not get it to over heat with the ac on max and parked. I did not have to add any coolant because the resivoir was still full. It also sounds like the cat is blown out. When it's idling low it makes a very strong pulse thump noise in the exhaust like if the muffler was missing. The closest Saab Tech is in Ft. Collins, CO (40 Miles)and I don't want to risk doing major or more damage to the car driving it up there. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.
