After a very successful strip-fest on a 9000 at the local junkyard I was able to fix a number of long time annoyances on my '90 9kt.
- after two years of having to manually control the right rear door lock, i replaced the actuator and now have four joyously functional power locks. everytime I lock or unlock the doors now, i get a kick out of seeing that lock go up and down
- after an equal length of time with a broken switch for my fog lights, i replaced it with the appropriate switch from the same 9000, and voila that works now too (i used to use a couple of coins to jam the switch in to keep it on)
- replaced the right rear tail light which has had a one inch triagular hole in it the entire time i've owned the car
- grabbed a gas cap off and 251,000 mile 900 to replace my cracked one
- grabbed a bunch of little screws for this and that that i was missing
- grabbed a power seat knob which snapped perfectly onto the the little metal bar that's been missing one
- grabbed a power antenna for the other 9000 in the driveway ('87)
Raiding junkyards for 9000 parts is a hobby I could get into.
In addition I finally got all my vacumn lines replaced with fresh silicone ones, and gave the interior a much needed vacumn. It's almost like driving a new car. Just a few more annoying little things..
