Heavy accelerator pedal...TCS Aero

Just got back from a ~600 mile roundtrip last night. By the way, mileage was 30.8 averaging 75mph (which includes quite a bit of 80-85mph).
Anyway, I noticed that after about a half hour or so, my right leg was starting to get sore. The problem seems to be that I hardly have to push on the pedal at all to maintain speed so I'm constantly holding my foot back, unable to rest it in a more comfortable position. Also, the pedal seems heavier than I remember it being when I got the car -- it takes more force to push it down. The higher resistance might be the cause of the soreness as well. I tried different seat positions to no avail.
I'm wondering if there is some sort of adjustment that can be made to the accelerator pedal. Or is something giving up? Either way, it sounds complicated and expensive thanks to TCS. By the way, I've never had any TCS faults in this car.
Could this have something to do with the jerkyness that I'm experiencing when getting on and off the throttle and at low loads in the lower gears?
