I wonder if the problem is your master cylinder, which you say you rebuilt. Having replaced and rebuilt many hydraulic components over the years on lots of different cars I have come to the conclusion that its false economy to rebuild. I've rarely had one last as long as I thought it should. The only time I would rebuild now is if the cost of a new one is prohibitive or new ones are hard to find (eg restoring a classic). Mind you, I just replaced the master cyl on my 93 Aero and the previous one only lasted 40,000 kms so sometimes the new stuff isn't that durable either. Good luck.
