The conductive adhesives don't really work all that well, when there is a higher current draw such as with a hatchback rear defroster. The tab was originaly attached to the foil heater grid on the glass by the solder method. The foil must still be attached to the glass to resolder the tab to the foil.To resolder the tab a small lazy flame is needed,so just the right amount of heat is applied to flow the solder but not to much to cause the foil to lift from the glass. It can be tricky, but not that hard.If you don't have the tools and skill or don't feel confident enought to do it yourself-take it to a auto glass place. They should be able to it at not much expense.
