Mine was broken also in my 91. I was able to salvage it by removing the assembly and placing a nut/bolt on the end of the plastic part with the slot cut in it. Then I inserted the unit back into the car and used two nylon wire ties to go from the hole (now rigid by the addition of the nut/bolt) to the adjustment rods for the headlight (long metal screw with plastic handle on end. The good news is that this has worked fine for years and makes the headlight and turn signal more rigid than before.
