The oil in question was up in the cylinder head,and had not had time to drain back down to the bottom end.I think you may have a cylinder head with the external oil lines under the valve cover and one of the plastic connection pieces has failed and is allowing the oil to be pumped out and collecting in the top end. Tomorrow Am's 1st cold start your lifters are going to be tapping away. I would pull the valve cover and eye ball the oil tubes and connections to find the failed piece,and not run the engine untill it's repaired.It's very hard to get air trapped in the top end oil system out once it there (to quite the lifters back down) with your mileage.I would get a complete head set and change out all the plastic and o-ring connections and the save the rest for your next headgasket repair.
