oops!
just wanna share my experience.
came off easy, the old bushings had slipped in the bearing so they were def. not the correct angle anymore. I think the whole angle thing is about keeping the control arm "loaded" thus stabilizing the suspension further.
The rubber of the bushing twists slightly, creating stability. Can't remember where i read that.
Was able to use a protractor and a flat benchtop to set angle w/o problems
anyway, a standard bench vice to press em in and out, which is quite tricky in my opinion...
Used a lug bolt from '88 or later SAAB to slip inside and press the bushing, and a 30mm socket in the other side to make adj. at times.
Worked great, 2 things:
use plenty of dawn or slippery soap, and
i gently removed part of the lip on the bushing to aid installation. I did this on a bench grinder and only removed a little bit, making the angle on the leading edge of the bushing more of a slope. I did this because the scan-tek bushings looked a bit different than the originals, and they were tearing on installation.
cheers!
