The majority of the mount sits inside the front cross member, ie the 2 sided dish plate is off set so basically one rubber cushion is above and the other is below... sound right, but if when assembled the mount is upside down, the front trans case shelf is too high, ( the Alternator will hit the heater box) So assemble the mount bracket with cushions on either side, big flat washers and use locktite on the threads. cushions are likely unobtanium but sans oil degradation are likely fine. If when assembled the seems ease to twist cushions, fine a body to frame type 1/8 inch thick sheet and trim and place on the upper side only. Torque pulls engine "up" when accelerating. shim the bottom too tight and car will seem rough/vibration.Note heel OEM rear mounts, BMW or simular mounts do not handle torsion for aft movement ( because forward power is held to body n by rear end) Note to 1975 all body bolts were still SAR 5/16", 76 later body captive nuts were M8. ,
