No start no power - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
The 99 EMS that I have has been electrically butchered prior to my ownership, and that isn't my strong suit. I recently replaced the fuel pump and the battery. Suddenly, the car won't even turn over, nor will the fuel pump turn on with the key in the run position.
I've noticed that there is a wire stuck in one pole of the fuel pump relay socket that goes to under the fuses. Should there be a relay there? Does the starter have its own wires to the battery? Prior to the battery replacement, the car would at least try to start but couldn't due to the bad fuel pump.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. This was going to be the first start.
