My car was a 1973 99E with no frills, painted caroline blue. How boring is that? I just changed a few things to make it better, and it's definitely not a concourse car.

Upgrade list:

Lightning blue paint Saab code 270 from a 1999 9-3 Viggen

Interior is from a 1974 EMS - seats and interior panels

Carpeted trunk from a 1977 EMS

Power mirrors from a 1978 GLE

Rear pop out quarter glass from a 74 EMS - the 99E had fixed glass

Brass coolant overflow bottle from a 1971 99

Stainless door sills from a 1971 99

EMS chrome trim and EMS emblem on the front grille

Front vent covers(behind the bumper) from a 1971 99

Soccerball wheels from various years

Front European turn signal assemblies and lenses

European instrument cluster with tachometer

Saab sport and rally steering wheel

Front air dam is a plastic replica, but I bought it from a Saab dealer at SOC'90

The 99E had a dealer installed radio with one speaker in the center of the dash. I installed two amps under the back seat, two speakers in the kick panels, and two in the rear deck.

So maybe I chromed and polished some parts. There's no crime in that.
