The cam/head that came from my 75EMS - cam #83 56 05
from my 73E - cam #83 56 05
two unknown heads/cams - cam #83 56 05
I have no clue to what cam # is in my 73, but it sure is peppy through the gears. The head and cam were once in my 74EMS(which was supposed to have a hot cam), but I changed so much stuff on the 74 in the 15 years I owned it, it's hard to say what was in there when I dumped the engine in the 73. I need to re-torque the head bolts this spring, so I'll pull the numbers when I get the valve cover off.
My parts book dated Feb-74 only shows one cam for the 2.0 liter - cam #85 52 25(4). I don't know why they have the number 4 on the end of the part number in the book, since none of the cams I looked at visually have a 7 digit serial #. The book does not show any footnotes as to what engine that cam # applies to, but comparing it to the cam # in my 73E(and all the other cams I have), it is different and unique. I also see a discrepency in the second digit you posted. You might want to check it again, your 3 might actually be a 5. Those numbers are so small they were hard for me to read also.
