Yes, the rivetted fuse block is horrible. It's a MUST fix/replace item on 99s. Later versions are not rivetted and a lot of problems are immediately solved. Also those female locking wire connectors (the ones that lock into the hole in the blade) aren't tight and tend to open up with age. They need to be disconnected, cleaned and then crimped a bit before reinstalling. All of the fuse block connectors need to sprayed with electrical contact cleaner. Same goes for all of the relay sockets.
I wonder if later 99/90 models had a fuse block that used new blade style fuses as 900s from 1984 and on? Maybe someone in Europe would know. I've been toying with using standard quarter inch barrel fuse holders ends and adapting them to fit the existing block. This would eliminate the dumb Euro cone end fuses.
