Anyone have experience with this? I know it was not especially rare for this to happen. I'm wondering if the metal worn off may have caused - or will cause other damage? I'm guessing that this is a result of poor metal in the shaft at the splines and it just eventually wore down? I'm ready to put another shaft in. I bought the car not driving with the stripped shaft.
