Well, certainly out of the box thinking, bonus points for that :-) However, a supercharger needs a lot more power to work than the fragile gear on the layshaft can transfer. It would break in no time.

I would look up a B turbo head (has natrium filled exhaust valves) and start porting it. Add to that a high lift/duration cam and a full MSS header and exhaust. Finally get an inlet manifold for two Weber DCOE 45 or 48. If done correctly, you will now have an engine with 170-180 hp. If you are happy with a little less hp, you can keep the existing fuel injection system. Everything can be installed over a weekend, and you always have the opportunity to switch back to stock, if you sell the car or something.
