I got my Jackson Racing/Aquamist race pump water injection set up today. Initial tests gave me a fairly smooth 10~12 psi of boost with only minimal predet. I had the pressure switch set to about 7 or 8 psi, and I have now dialed that down. Hopefully I can get it to engage at 5psi. I am going to try a bigger nozzle too. I put a .5mm in to start with, but I think I might step up to a .7mm if the earlier switch doesnt eliminate predet. This system is really great. I have had a 900 intercooler in for a while, but I have determined it does very, very little. With the high beam can removed from the drivers side, the i/c will cool a bit a freeway speeds; once it heat soaks you are done. I am not too fond of predet, but I am fond of my boost, so I am pretty excited about this set up. Now if I can just get my damn e-brakes to work. I rebuilt a caliper recently, and havent had e-brakes since- I suppose the driver's side was never working, but The cable pull is adjusted to the stops of the calipers themselves, so I know the problem is internal... Should I just turn the main piston down again and let them re-adjust themselves? Anyway, here is the whole list of mods on my poor old 99.
