Went through this a few weeks ago, I had even bought a can of refrigerant to try to freeze it and then tap it. The best solution that I have found though is to purchace a 2" metal "C" clamp, drill out the end to allow it to slip over the pin head, loosen the nut to cover the tip of the threads and crank down on the clamp and finally just tap it w/ a hammer. It took a couple of tries, but popped out pretty easy comparitivly.
