Well, the stick shift doesn't move at all, so I don't think it's the mounts (also I gave them a quick look while it was sitting in my garage) but I'll try to check that out. As for the timing chain, I'll check the tension. Would it be too tight or too loose to cause this noise?
Also, during the drive to work today, I think it was getting better. It might be the chain tensioner just needing to be worked a bit after sitting for so long (wishful thinking, I know).
