If you choose to install a 5 speed, you will need to figure out what you are going to do with the front engine mount. The front cover on the transmission is not the same between the 4speed and 5 speed. There is an additional "tab" to cover the 5th gear end that will have to be welded to the 4speed cover you may have now or you will have to find a 99 5speed cover (they are apparently still available in Europe) or modify the 5speed cover to accommodate a bracket that will serve the purpose. I have the latter method on my present 99.
A good TURBO or late 99 4 speed can be plenty fun. The early ones are real tight and get the RPMS up there on the freeway.
