My '76 99 had an automatic and PS when stock. When I got it, it was running a PS rack with plugs put into the hose fittings on the rack to make it like a manual (it probably wasn't good for the rack). I put a limited slip and a steering quickener into it and needed PS so I put a Saginaw pump from an 8V 900 into it using the brackets from a B-engine 900 (the pump was on the driver's side on those engines). I had to use the B engine 900 alternator bracket too. I modified it to get rid of the bushings, I can't remember if I needed to do that or I just wanted to keep the alternator from moving around. The problem was hooking up the hoses because things were really tight (I made my own hoses to custom fit). I also don't think the pump would go in/out with the engine in the car. If you wanted to mount the pump on the passenger side of the car (H engine, 16v) you'd have modify the firewall.
