Mike, it sounds like you messed up the firing order, and then you tried to swap back the old components in the same incorrect order. See if you get spark from your coil lead. Number one piston is the furthest to the back, not the front. You may have placed your ignition wires incorrectly as well. Get it at top dead center using your timing marks and removing #1 plug. Remove your cap, and the rotor should be before #1 position. Start your firing order of 1,3,4,2 in the correct direction from there.
