Please enlighten an electical moron: What is the difference between coils,
if any? I put a coil from a Geo Metro that I thought was bad on my 70- 96
and it runs fine. I am trying to sort out why my overhaul with <500 miles
on it starts backfiring and slowing down after about 50 miles. Could it be
because I thought the speck on the rod bolt torqe was too low (25 ft-lbs)and I use 45 ft-lbs? Every morning when I start it, it seems to run faster
but then the performance deteriorates on the road. Go ahead ... kick me!
