That is one very nice, very rare RHD 96 Posted by patquin [Email] (#9) [Profile/Gallery] (more from patquin) on Thu, 2 Dec 2004 17:40:57 In Reply to: help for a prospective owner, Marcus VIncent Ieraci, Wed, 1 Dec 2004 14:55:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Marcus, you may have a very rare right-hand drive Saab there. I'd recommend you grab it if you can't find any rust as Spiv has mentioned. It's the first one I've ever seen, having driven early Saabs for 35 years here (albeit in the US).
One of the telltales for how well kept it is is the condition of the dashpad--on your car it is not cracked-very good.
Finally, your working knowledge of vintage British cars will come in handy, as vintage Saabs can Lucas and Girling parts. As a matter of fact, sometimes I like to read "Practical Classics" here in the states just to see what the Brits have available for aftermarket gear for our relatively tiny vintage Saab community.
Good luck!
