Too much oil in my V4...

Last weekend I changed the oil in the 1970 96 that I just picked up. Not having either the owners or factory manuals handy, I went ahead and put in 4 quarts of Castrol GTX 10w30, thinking from memory that this was the right amount (the last V4 Saab I drove was over six years ago, all 99s and 900s since). I checked the oil last night at the gas station and much to my surprise, it was up above the full mark. I went home and consulted the manual which said the oil capacity was 3 quarts w/o filter and 3.3 quarts with filter (I don't know if this refers to the bigger or the smaller filter, I am running an OE Saab (Mann) small filter). Anyway, I've put about about 200 miles, mostly highway, on the car since the oil change with no untoward noises coming from the engine, in fact it's running great other than some idling problems, but it was doing that before. Also, the oil was not foamy when I checked it. I do plan on draining out the excess oil first thing this morning, I guess I just want to reassure myself that I didn't damage the engine. I know the Ford V4s are hearty motors and this one was rebuilt 30k miles ago, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed...
