Anders:
The 'split' you find in parts listings is likely to do with the front brakes only. The V4 (with front discs) was introduced in '67. Most 'longnose' two strokes from '65 to '68 had front drums... and if I'm not mistaken, the parts used during those years were essentially identical. (The exceptions are the Monte Carlo and the 'Special' which had a different disc brake set up.)
However, different rear wheel cylinders were used on the 95 and 96... a difference in bore size... and I can't remember which model used which. I believe the cylinders _could_ be interchanged without problem, but of course the kits cannot. Brake shoes were the same for ALL models (including V4) for those years.
Here are some part numbers you may be able to cross reference...
Shoes - 10093 (= BS 93 ?) ('universal' reman #'s)
Rear wheel cylinder (large bore) - 4241-396 (original Lockheed #)
Rear wheel cylinder kit (large bore) - SSB 547 (original Lockheed #)
Rear wheel cylinder kit (small bore) - SSB 550 (original Lockheed #)
--
Distributor rotor (resistor type) - 1 234 332 123 (old Bosch #)
Plugs - Champion K-8 or K-9 (9 is the hotter plug... and you may want to avoid it)
--
I have no numbers for the cap, I'm afraid. There were only two types used for two strokes, vented and unvented... either will work. Nor do I have a cross reference for Bosch or NGK plugs. You may have to 'build' a plug wire set... most of the aftermarket offerings I ever saw were pretty shoddy.
Hope some of this helps. You ought to be able to find a foreign car parts house there in LA that has most of this stuff.
