Stickman, Yes, I recall when you were thinking of buying it. You were asking questions of the worth..
I personally did not believe it was worth it, as the car still needed restoration, despite it was rare.
As for the little British cars, I am sure there are some who genuinely appreciate and worship them. I have a friend who has a restored, brilliant red 1976 Triumph. He loves the car despite it has been sitting in his garage for the last eight years while he drives his Maxima and his Mazda minivan.
It turns out that an Italian designed the lines. (similar to the Sonett 3)
The roads in England are small hence why the cars are designed so.
I simply have a lot of respect for unorthodox different type of cars. Not simply to be unique, but simply in belief of the "right" way to build a car.
Not simply marketing to grab the bucks...like a Lexus, or many of the Japanese imports..despite they have I feel one of the best drivetrains today. Yet to place me in a Toyota, or a Honda deduces my automobile enthusiast nature.
If I wanted a small roadster, aside from a Sonett..I would purchase a small British car instead of the imitations that they have today (Miata, etc..
No offense Stickman, The corvette has beautiful lines, and the Austin is cute.
