The permanent way to disable the freewheeling involves putting a sleeve in the transmission and this means the tranny (or the engine) must be out of the car. The next best way would be to lock the nylon slider on top of the transmission in the engaged position. You should be able to tie it with a piece of wire. I believe I have read someone else's method of securing the nylon slider so if you do a search on this board for freewheel you probably will find lots of ways.
