What's wrong with my 95? Sudden problems idling Posted by andrew [Email] (#1013) [Profile/Gallery] (more from andrew) on Sat, 4 Aug 2007 12:32:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I bought a 1966 95 a few months ago and she had been running great until just recently.
It seems like all of a sudden it's acting up. I've noticed that when comming to a stop the engine has a tendency to try and stall. I can prevent it if I blip the throttle and rev the car slightly and it usually omes back up to idle speed.. Then sometimes when I take the car out of gear and blip the throttle the engine starts to race, even with my foot off the accelerator.
The problem seems to get worse as the engine heats up. I also feel like I've lost a little power as the temps rise.
Engine temps are pretty much normal, though it has been running a little hotter as the outside temps have been rising. I also checked the throttle linkages, etc, and everything is okay.
Any thougts?
