Yeah, I always figured any hood that went to a v4 with that grill would be identical, and that still may be the case. Though it could be one from the 70's cars with the lower grill. Might is probably just tweaked out as It's definitely bent up a nudge on the front driver side if you look in the pic. Looks like someone really forced it open when it was stuck.

Regardless, it doesn't in the space correctly as far as it doesn't go up close enough towards the windshield, and it's all jammed over to the passenger side, leaving a big gap between the drivers side front panel and the hood. I swear, every mechanic at my shop as tweaked it, and moved this, and adjusted the locking bolt mushroom looking thingy. It just won't sit right. It never opened right since the day I bought it.

Yeah, I know these V4 hoods right out of the factory never sat flush with the fenders towards the nose of the car. Part of the character I guess. I always wondered why saab let it go like that though!!

But alas, I did find a pretty amazing resource right in my bay area backyard for all the westcoasters. Swedish Auto Factory in Santa Clara has a full on salvage yard filled to the brim with vintage saab chunks. They have like PILES of old two stroke hoods, Sonnet doors, V4 body panels, and what not!! Waiting to hear back if they have a hood for me. One of these days I just want to drive over and check it all out.

Jeff, if I totally strike out here, I'd love to take you up on your generous offer.
