It really depends on one's preference and philosophy - but in either way, it needs to be "pressure bled." The first way is to have a cap that one can screw onto the filler of the master and through that cap have an air line of some sort (I use an extra cap and have inserted a basketball/football type needle valve). Then with the reservoir full, introduce some pressure from a bicycle type tire pump (just a little). This is done with the bleed valve on the slave open slightly with a plastic tube running up from it to a catch bottle. The idea is to use the pressure/pumping to drive the air from the system. You will need to refill the reservoir a few times because obviously if it gets too low you start introducing more air back into the system. The second method is to use a hand held vaccuum pump (such as a Mity-Vac) attached to the bleeder valve on the slave and essentially suck the air from the system (again keeping the reservoir full). No matter what, however, trying to bleed with pumping the pedal just does not work. I do have a Motive Products Power Bleeder that I use on other vehicles with great success but I have not tried it on a Saab clutch (it would involve rigging some other cap in order to even get it connected so I have not bothered where these two methods are quick and easy).
