Check your manual and you'll find that front bearing access for lubrication or replacement is a major job needing a shop press and some special tools. You can remove the hubs in which the bearings are housed, but would probably need to take them to a machine shop for service. If they were easily accessed it would make sense to clean and repack. They need to be thoroughly cleaned of all traces of old grease. Different greases are not always compatible. Synthetic greases are fine but not necessary. Any #2 chassis grease should be fine. (Note that the drive axle joints DO require a special grease designed for CV joints, readily available at any car parts store.) Unless there is a clear indication of a problem, such as roughness, noise, excessive play (.080"/a little over 1/16" in & out wobble grasping the tire top and bottom and rocking it), grease leaking, I'd leave them alone. If dismantling for any reason, I'd replace them and the seals--given the trouble involved, the parts are cheap enough.
