Hi Adam,
Sorry for the bad ride. It could be several things.
1. Clogged fuel filter that clears up. Change it, cut it open and see what's in there. A quick $5.00 fix.
2. If the above filter has junk in it, it could also clog up the fuel pump a bit. The old mechanical pumps had a screen filter inside. Not sure of what your electrical one has.
3. I first thought it might be a vacuum leak, which it still could be. One of my Sonett's started showing the same symptoms last summer. Turned out to be a failed PCV valve causing a vacuum leak. Check the valve and all the vacuum hoses, especially the one for advance.
4. Intermittent bad electrical contact in the ignition? A stretch...check your Pertronix connections.
5. Loose distributor that turned, messing up timing?
I guess I would change the fuel filter and do a general check of the fuel and ignition system. Pull the cap, check the rotor, all connections, check the plug wires, etc etc.
