Ben,
I also bought the marine Sta-Bil but I believe the stuff is used just to preserve the fuel over time. I have been using Sta-Bil in my Rotax 912 engine in my Kitfox airplane for years but its use is to prevent the fuel from going bad as it sits. It only takes a few weeks for the octane to start declining in the fuel. I doubt that it would have any effect on the mix with the oil. I too will be facing this same issue when I finally get my project 96 running. Moss motors has a product that is suppose to prevent the "phase separation" of water out of the gasahol when fuel sits but I don't remember the name. Phase separation would probably not be a problem if you drive your car much. This alcohol is a real mess for two stroke (and 4 stroke) vehicles !
