Not sure if anyone has any NOS red blades. You might pick up a good used one from somebody. Or, check out someplace like Summit Racing. They should have a good replacement that will fit.
I don't think stop the fan blade will ruin the phenolic timing gears. Remember that the fan runs just on the fan bearing and is not directly coupled to one of the three gears. It is coupled indirectly through the fan belt. In fact, since your blade shattered, I'd say it was the weak link.
