Hello,
I just had to replace my clutch slave on my 69/96, but can't find the fitting that goes from the slave to the line to the clutch master. The old fitting had been jury-rigged and held in to the previous slave by two threads. The same fitting would not work with the new slave. Something with the threads was different from the previous slave and the old fitting wouldn't thread in more than two turns before it started to want to angle in cockeyed. I was told my model year was a switch over to a different arrangment with the upright clutch master system to fit around the brake booster. Don't know if the slave was also involved in this transition. A mechanic friend found a brass adapter that threaded in fine, we pressed on a new line, but leaked around the threads at the slave when we attempted to bleed the system. Does anyone have an extra fitting to sell? or could offer advise on how to remedy this situation? The slave in new from West of Sweden, and I just rebuilt the master. Just need to make the connection to the slave to complete.
What wasn't going to be a difficult job has just become a headache!
